Art + Science 26

Understanding the world around us … a source of inspiration for budding artists
The Montréal Science Centre is proud to present the work of elementary and secondary students who took part in the Student Artists project.
For inspiration, the young artists visited the Science 26 exhibition at the Science Centre, with its colourful displays and science experiments. They also toured the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, where they had a chance to admire all kinds of original pieces and learn about contemporary art techniques.
Then the students created a piece reflecting this marriage of science and art.
Their creations, showcasing their clear-sighted view of the world around them, are displayed in our corridors.
This project is part of the Access to Cultural Resources facet of the Supporting Montréal Schools Program of the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec.
